I was always told the best value is to use avios to upgrade from Business to F. I’ve never done the maths as i rarely have a problem with LH/LX but worth bearing in mind.

Agreed, but in this case you would be upgrading from Club World to what essentially is a proper business class cabin…. 🙂

I was travelling in F on BA coming back from HKG a few years ago and the steward said “Would you like orange squash or champagne?. I’m afraid the champagne isn’t chilled but I could put some ice in it for you”.

You think BA is a lie? Try VS its a nightmare unless you fly LHR JFK or even LGW HAV any other routes are a waste of a call or search.
