A new Expat form has come into force beginning of April, that is being seen as over intrusive. Many have complained, it is a breach of privacy, safety, and personal life by the Military lead Government in Thailand. It has been implemented by The Police Major General of the Bureau of Police.
(Reported in the Bangkok post April 22).

Asking which clubs and restaurants they attend, where they frequent, what social media they use and account details, and a photo to be added, is to carried with them. It also asks for Bank account details, registration and licence details for any cars or bikes used.

The Form is entitled “Record of Foreigner Information”. The Bureau said “it was not mandatory”, but is is clearly information they require you to fill out. Many complaints have been received, but as enquiries have been made, putting false information could be an offence!
