THAI and the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand LTD (AEROTHAI) announce the signing of an “ ASPIRE Flight ” agreement. The agreement aims to promote efficient use of fuel to reduce greenhouse gas emission.

THAI ASPIRE Flight is a demonstration of a “ perfect flight ” on international routes, aiming to save fuel consumption procedures. The demonstration roundtrip flight is from Bangkok to Auckland during 5-8 May.

THAI operated Boeing 777-200 ER, using the aircraft with an engine wash to help reduce fuel consumption by 0.6% and an airframe wash for aerodynamic efficiency.
THAI expects that best practices will decrease fuel consumption around 2% per flight.

Nanotechnology will play a key part in reducing friction on the outer surface of airframes, by bestowing self-clean properties in addition to a smoother overall surface. easyJet are looking at this now.

Similarly, Nano products are available today to reduce vehicle fuel consumption and increase engine life, and tyre products to give back 3% as well as reduce the chance of punctures.

If your business uses transport, or is involved in anything with moving parts, a look at Nanotechnology is well worth a look. It is the future.

(I declare an interest in that I have an investment in this area.)
