American Airlines is making it less costly by relaxing part of its pet policy to now let owners bring their per plus a full-size carry-on bag into the cabin.

Previously people who carried a pet into the cabin — which involves paying a $150 fee — could only have one other small item that fitted under the seat with anything larger, like a large carry-on needing to be checked in at fee of $35.

Now American is letting passengers bring a pet in the cabin and also bring a carry-on bag or a personal item — just not both bags with out a further charge.
