I was looking at a potential stay in Helsinki for a flight using Finnair and transiting there, and being a member of the GHA(Global Hotel Alliance) at a high tier level looked at their options in that city and at HEL airport.

Last year when looking at the brands in the group I looked at GLO hotels and they went on my radar for any visit to the city (city centre hotel) and for an airport stay should I prefer an overnight as part of an AY itinerary.

However when looking in the past days it seems GLO has left the alliance. This is a pity as their hotels looked attractive and very convenient.

I thought to share this with the forum as some of you may well be with GHA and either visit Helsinki or use AY/HEL as a transit point.
