Schiphol Amsterdam Airport CEO Jos Nijhuis gave an interview to a major Dutch newspaper in which he announced that AMS will invest a further €1 billion between now and 2020 on top of the €2 billion already planned.
AMS will increase the capacity to 75 million passengers, improve the security services and separate departing and arriving passengers. The AMS CEO sees SIN and ICN as an example and is aiming to at least match that level in the near future.
AMS reported a healthy growth of 2.6% in 2012 to 51 million passengers and a profit of €199 million.

In another article it was written that the cooperation between AMS and KLM, as the main carrier, has been improved due to high level talks instigated by the Dutch government. A solid foundation for further discussions, cooperation and growth has been established.

And not a single word of raising passenger charges!

London’s third runway is pulling ahead. LHR take notice.
