Safety demos – ‘this aircraft type may be different’

I’ve noticed a recent trend for airlines to start using safety demo videos that do not feature aircraft settings (e.g. QR, SQ).

They make a big point of saying that it is important to watch, because the aircraft you are on may differ to others, then show you people using safety equipment on park benches, boats, cinemas etc, which do not resemble the aircraft your are on or any other, for that matter.

The statement is a logical fallacy!

have not watched them in years. i get to my seat, i check nearest exit, look at other passengers for which ones likely to be an idiot and get in my way if i need to get out fast. Check life jacket position, phone, passport and wallet in pocket, take a nap usually before take off with shoes on, again if i need to get out fast.
