I am shocked and surprised to learn that British Airways does NOT allow members registered in India to redeem their Avios for hotel bookings. We would like to know WHY the airline chooses to discriminate.
It does however send emails to Indian members, with special offers for hotel bookings. This in itself would probably be sufficient grounds for legal action, as they are making offers which they have no intention of honouring.
This is nothing short of disgraceful.

Could be a very simple such as regulatory requirements by India.

I dont like your tone; but, for the record, I did call BA Executive Club’s contact-centre in India. It was they who gave me this information. No reason was given, other than “it’s company policy”…which is shameful.
I am trying to reach Moran Birger, who I believe is BA’s man looking after their India operations, for an explanation.
