Now it’s the turn of the Gulf carriers to cut staff.

According to airline booking systems, although Qatar Airways is restarting a number of flights in the coming weeks and months, several European destinations are being dropped.

UK destinations not expected to resume until the winter timetable are: LGW, BHX and CWL.

Of course in the present situation there could be changes so always advisable to check.

According to this report some expatriate staff are being told to return to their home countries. Those who could not return immediately would “be provided with housing and living allowance until such a return was possible.”
