Travelling Heathrow to Perth and back in business on Emirates for the four flights of the journey, but all are ticketed under Qantas QF flight numbers.

With a decent amount of air miles on offer, I’m keen to exploit them. I have a BA gold card. My understanding is that I can’t get tier points from this ticket (which aren’t necessarily of much use as I have ‘lifetime’ anyway.)

Can I get Avios/One World miles from this trip though? Please let me know…

According to the BA website, re collecting with partners, if you have a QF flight number, you will only earn Avios if the flight is operated by a Oneworld carrier.

So an Emirates operated flight would not qualify.

Too late to switch to Qatar or Cathay?

Qatar, Cathay and Malaysian didn’t have suitable schedules unfortunately.

I’m no fan of Emirates and would have preferred any of the above, but needs must…

Will I get Emirates miles if it’s a QF code share?

No, if you are travelling on a QF flight number, then it’s QF points only, not EK. You would need to travel on the EK flight number to get EK points.
