    I knew there was a reason why I always preferred European or Asian legacy carriers to the American ones. The cabin products may become more similar with more flat beds available but the level of service varies greatly. From grumpy to mega-charming. Worst experiences certainly are the lounges in Newark – very poor – and the business class seat on a B737-800 from Newark to San Jose. A joke for a 5 hour journey!

    It would be very interesting to hear why you thought it was a joke as that particular flight is a candidate for an itinerary I am researching for a trip in March.
