Oneworld under EU cartel suspicion

    Hi everyone !!

    BA, AA and IB are under suspicion of the EU Antitrust body to be violating the antitrust rules and therefore forming a cartel on certain key routes between the USA and Europe. The EU executive will be looking an eye over how the three suspects have planned their share of the revenue, their operations etc. which would have likely to shut out rivals. If they are found guilty–they would be fined up to 10% of their annual turnover.

    The EU executive is also conducting investigations on Star Alliance mainly LH, UA, AC and CO as well Skyteam AF/KLM and DL/NW

    I wonder how this investigation might affect the proposed acquisition of BMI on the part of BA.
