Never mind if the rest of the website is down, lacks basic functionality or just cannot recognise your new diamond club cardnumber for a few months.

The new lounge at LHR T1 is fab, particularly like the AGA. The website has a great promotional video which is worth a look:

This is the upstairs of the old BA Domestic Terraces in T1; shame they chose a day when one of their non-liveried aircraft was taxiing in.

Is the man in the blue jumper Richard Madeley, moonlighting in an attempt to put bread on the table for Judy now their satellite show is off the air?

I have recently experienced BMI’s No.1 in LHR. It is a very nice product. I enjoyed the meal with a decent number of choices. Great bar with lots of choices as well. Very nice view of the tarmac. The furnitures have this classy touch like BA ‘s Terraces Lounges. Overall a very good impression, felt relaxed and enjoyed lingering around.

This product should show the other Star Alliance carriers in how to offer a decent premium lounge for their loyal pax.

Domestic passenger (even Gold Card holders) do not get access to this new No. 1 lounge.

bmi’s Business and Diamond Club lounges at LHR T1 are slated for much needed renovation (currently they resemble walking into the set of Richard & Judy show circa 1989), and the ground floor is afflicted with annoying steps which are hardly ideal for rollaboard luggage.

I understand bmi are closing the upstairs part of the bmi Domestic T1 lounge on Monday 12th October; this is the supposedly premium area Gold Card holders can access.

The weblink doesn’t say if it is for refurbishment, or just being closed.

Downstairs remains open, but may end up being standing room only at peak times…..
