Oh, and there’s Meher Baba’s new year I seem to recall from the distant memory of the 70’s.

Martyn: I traded the Chinese new Year firework for the magnificent Patagonian glacier view but you were lucky enough to have experienced the display. Good for you!

Hong Kong has very high quality sushi restaurants as the restaurants would fly in fishes from Japan and also making use of what can be found in and around Hong Kong water to augment the Japanese imports.

In many cases cheaper than consuming the same quality food in Tokyo.

Rich has certainly brought out a very interesting topic. I should start investigating the various New Years amongst my international friends and see how they celebrate their festive occasions.

BTY, I am feasting on wonderful fresh heart of palms and delicious Patagonian ceviche which in my opinion better than the Peruvian original.
    receipt!

No Chinese food for 3 weeks!!!!
