MUC used to be a great airport to connect. Not anymore it seems. Actually one could wonder whether it is not competing with FRA for mediocrity.

Last week, I connected there. I arrived on Air Dolomiti and had in theory 90 minutes before my next flight. But we had to wait onboard for about 20 minutes to get the bus coming to the aircraft! Useless to say there were no dedicated bus for business class passengers. I got there, walked a FRA kind of time to have to take a train to the gate. Still had time for a quick coffee. I asked however one of the two the lounge ladies (sitting chatting) about the departure and got rebuked: “Just watch the screen!”. The lounge smelled of sausage but I could get my coffee before boarding my next flight.

Well a FRA kind of experience. No more!

That’s a shame. I arrived at and departed from MUC about 3 years ago, and it was great.
