To my knowledge, long haul flights with a stop (for instance LHR-NAS-GCM or FRA-JED-ASM), crews service pattern was LH – rest at first destination – SH and return – rest – LH back home (so for instance, FRA-JED, rest – JED-ASM-JED, rest, JED-FRA). However on the latter the pattern has just changed. Now crews are doing: FRA-JED-ASM-JED in one shift, then rest in JED, then JED-FRA. Of course FRA-JED (5 hours) is shorter than LHR-NAS. Still, I am wondering how you feel about this, safety-wise…
