    *Breaking*

Readers who have booked to fly Aer Lingus from London Gatwick to Dublin later this year will find that these flights are cancelled from end March.

This afternoon (Friday) Aer Lingus said that its Gatwick flights (Dublin is the only Aer Lingus destination from Gatwick) are being axed at the end of March.

Aer Lingus operates the route up to five times a day with A320 aircraft. It is a mainline, not a regional, service and is code-shared with BA.

The decision was made “following a review of route performance.”

I suspect it’s because of competition from Ryanair.

At time of writing this news is not covered by UK media. I have provided a link below to Businesspost,ie
