Its one of the worst FFP programme, it never fulfills any upgrade rewards as its more interested in generating revenue in place of honouring its Customers, who eventually get their rewards points lapsed due to continously not getting the required awards, even if asked for 5/6 months in advance of the travel dates.

Not cent percent true. I’ve managed to get upgrades with miles. Full miles redemption in Premium Cabin’s. Cash upgrades and Complimentary upgrades on busy flights.

Yes upgrades are hard to come by and they need planning. Holding elite status Gold and above also helps at times.

So they are not that bad in regards to redemption and upgrades. But the service standard these days leaves a lot to be desired. Esp when they are not priced competively on certain long haul sectors.

Jet Airways pretty much holds a monopoly in Indian domestic skies today, being the only half-decent full-service airline in operation since the suspension of Kingfisher….which, in its heyday, was a class apart.
And nobody in his right mind would fly the truly “incredible” Air India.
So its not surprising that Jet thinks it can get away with anything (for now) and are making the most of it!
