Incompetence and dishonesty on Wizz Air

17.20 flight from Vienna to Gatwick today. There was an aircraft change mid afternoon and the aircraft was already on the gate over 2 hours before the flight.

Passengers including children and elderly were stood outside for 20 minutes in zero degree temperatures and then had to be returned to the terminal – the pilot had discovered the aircraft’s operating documentation was in the name of Wizz Air UK, but the aircraft was being operated by Wizz Air Malta.

We left an hour late, on approach to Gatwick the usual reminder to check the safety card, but there were none in our row. Cue disagreement with the cabin attendant who did not back down and insisted it had all been checked properly before boarding, quite obviously being untruthful in the process.

Really poor how sloppy the airline has become.

Unfortunately, you often get less than you paid for in the aviation business. WizzAir is a stark reminder of the phrase “penny wise pound foolish”.
