Cathays low cost unit is expecting to increase fights by 25% over pre pandemic levels by year end according to reliable reports.

With new aircraft arriving almost monthly and more being recovered from storage together with ex Dragon Air aircraft availability it look very likely that this target will be met and perhaps surpassed.

The range of the new aircraft will reach as far as northern Australia. Cairns was a Cathay destination for many years until they dropped it about six years back and so it will be interesting to see if HKX will expand down as far as AU
