    Can anyone verify this? Shortly before landing at LHR on Monday morning the captain announced that one of the runways was closed and that there may be delays. My mind immediately went into overdrive thinking about a cancelled connection or interminable delay.

    In the event, we landed at 06:40 – 20 minutes ahead of schedule.

    Surely this was not a bad joke?
