Friday night 5pm HEX to T5 and thinking never again. What a hideous experience this service is becoming.

Firstly those damn ticket gates because they might let one passenger through whose hasn’t paid for the worlds most expensive train service. After the crush of bewildered passengers fights through the gate waving paper print outs, tickets, mobiles and whatever else only to find that the 5pm Friday train is only half the regular carriage formation. Standing room only (decide we were probably off better getting a seat on the Piccadilly line by this point but hey its only 20 minutes).

20 minutes later with failed display boards and no air conditioning working, much confusion and jostling as one set of doors in the carriage is faulty and does not open.

People barely get off in time before the doors close and we’re off to T5 where from some unbeknownst reason it takes nearly 10 minutes for the elevators to get down to platform level with the added excitement when one lift finally arrives only to disappear before the doors open and anyone can get on.

This used to be a good service but like so many things is just becoming another awful aspect of travel to avoid.

The ticket gates were more to do with Crossrail rather than fraudulent travel.
