    Just saw this article…….

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travelnews/9743112/Cathay-Pacific-cabin-crew-vow-no-smiles-no-alcohol-in-pay-dispute.html

No Christmas spirit here (pun most definitely intended!)…

Even if they did this the overall experience would still be several leagues above most other airlines…….

I really don’t know what CX cabin crew think this will achieve. Their issue with with managers, not with fare paying passengers.

Cathay Cabin Crew have had a ‘no smile’ form of industrial action a few years ago, no?

rferguson: ROTFL! They are not that bad! I see them as more spontaneous than say SQ crew who you can almost predict the smile switching on at any given point in a conversation.

They better not try it with any Maltese on board.

KM CC tried this a year or two ago, but the airline didn’t tell anyone before the flight and when they announced their action over the PA leaving Gatwick (no alcohol, no coffee, no newspapers) a group of pax unfastened their belts and stood up; of course, they had to stop.

They all said they would get off, thank you very much. The captain was out to say they would lose their slot, not our problem, they replied, we’ll change to BA later today.

To cut a long story short, everyone got drinks, but no smiles. Allegedly.
