Piers Morgan has suggested that Wayne Rooney is banned from Twitter because of his poor use of English.

Maybe BT should take similar action against repeat offenders in the use of travel industry language. Common “crimes” in this regard include Quantas, Ryan Air, Easy Jet and BMI. Any other suggestions for serious misuse of our day to day travel language that should lead to a ban?

Qantas, Ryanair, easyJet … but what should BMI be? While a supporter of correct spelling, proper use of grammar and correct punctuation, I sometimes transgress, and therefore fear eviction.

And for clarity, do you propose full names for things like World Traveller Plus or would WTP suffice?

Hope no airline serves baked beans….. would “beanz meanz heinz” look ok on the menu?

Or on the audio list, Slade’s “take me bak ‘ome”….

    Happy travels all

    Pat,

Or, as The Goodies once memorably stated (and a bit rude for them): “Beanz meanz fartz.”

I propose a blanket ban on all Scots, whose oral English makes Wayne Rooney’s twitting magna cum laude standard. 😉

You try living in a Suffolk village without a phrase book! Makes the Scots sound positively English

I was taught at school that all names begin with a capital letter.

Just because Easyjet’s branding dept decided to use lower case letters, should I be forced to buy into that?
