Cathay reported last week that they have now received the necessary government licence for the proposed weekly flight to Durban South Africa and reconfirmation of its SA Government licence to resume its 3 times weekly flights to Cape Town

While perhaps not being of significant interest to readers in Europe the news is of great significance to the SA tourist industry and to Hong Kong business and holiday travellers who have shown significant interest in Cape Town as a destination and filled the aircraft in the short time pre the pandemic that the airline was able to run the service.
