Flights cancelled at Mumbai

    Approximately 100 flights were cancelled or rescheduled on Tuesday 27th Oct including the Kingfisher flight BOM/LHR.

    The airport is scheduled to be closed every Tuesday between 12.00 and 18.00 (local time) until March 2010. In addition, the second runway at BOM has been shut until 31 January 2010 for repair work!!!

    The weekly airport closure on Tuesdays is likely to prompt further cancellations and force many airlines to reschedule their services.

    The advice is therefore avoid flying from/too Mumbai on a Tuesday!
