I have been getting mailshots from Japan airlines offering me great deals to the Far East. There is no mention of their refund policy in the event that us Brits cant freely travel. Just wondering why so many airlines are offering deals to the UK market, when we cant freely travel longhaul. ?

The offer also stated “£40 of ticket service fee added for telephone booking”

    Easyjet – SEPTEMBER / 09 2021

Autumn flights on sale across Europe
Nearly 100k flights are now on sale at easyJet.com to over 127 destinations across Europe providing over 1 million low fare seats
20% off selected flights available to book now until 14 September 2021
Of these, more than one million seats are now on sale to and from the UK on 72,709 flights based on departures from October 2021 to September 2022, holidaymakers can look forward to low fares and friendly customer service by booking early at http://www.easyJet.com.
easyJet is providing more flexibility for flights than ever before through its Protection Promise including fee-free flight changes to any date or destination up to two hours before departure
London Gatwick to Malaga from £14.50*
    Manchester to Tenerife from £14.50*
    Bristol to Faro from £14.50*
London Gatwick to Paphos from £24.10*

All easyJet customers will now be able to change their flights this year without a change fee at any time up to two hours before departure, providing even more last-minute flexibility. Unlike other airlines, there are no restrictions on dates or destination; customers can transfer to any flights currently on sale up to the end of September 2022, and to any other destination on the airline’s network which spans 35 countries across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. This means that if some travel restrictions are impacting their destination country, such as self-isolation in destination or on return to the UK, customers can easily change their trip to another country on easyJet’s network. Plus, should a mandatory hotel quarantine impact a customer’s travel destination this summer, customers can now request a refund for their flight within four weeks before departure if the restriction is still in place, even if their flights are still operating.

easyJet has partnered with approved testing firms across Europe so that customers can get access to convenient and affordable testing, including PCR tests from £43 if required for their trip when they book flights and holidays at easyJet.com. The airline has also launched a new travel insurance policy which includes COVID-19 cover as standard. The new COVID-19 travel insurance will cover customers who are diagnosed with COVID-19 ahead of a trip, providing the necessary rearrangements or refunds, as well as cover to customers for any required medical care if diagnosed with COVID-19 during their trip. Customers who are unable to return home due to being diagnosed with the virus are also covered for additional accommodation, necessary medical assistance, and the cost of returning home safely.

The only thing I would say Tom, is that Qatar is not on the UK green list, so be prepared to have to adhere to whatever restrictions are in place at the time, I almost became a cropper on this with superb offers from Singapore to LHR but then they were on the red…. Qatar is definitely one of the best airlines but in COVID times the Middle East is not on the green list ATM!
