We’ve been sent the following sale information from BA:

Customers can get 25 per cent of all Euro Traveller (economy) fares on all short-haul flights from London Gatwick. Flights are operated by BA Euroflyer, British Airways’ subsidiary.

Customers can bag last minute flights to Christmas markets or even book a New Year Getaway with travel periods running from until 6 February, 2024. The offer is valid until 2359 on December 9.

    Examples include:

    – Verona from £32 each way (price based on a return fare departing on 24 January, 2024)
    – Fuerteventura from £41 each way (price based on a return fare departing on 11 January, 2024)

    Book via http://www.businesstraveller.com/bt/british-airways

The problem with airline sales claiming 25% off is that they do not publish prices, or have RRPs for fares. Claims of “25% off” are therefore totally meaningless. Flash sales are OK as there are no specific, meaningless claims.

I think that the ASA should investigate all airlines that claim x% off.
