There has been a long standing row about the pension deficit at the heart of the dispute. http://www.independent.ie/business/fears-of-crippling-strikes-at-countrys-main-airports-and-aer-lingus-intensify-30030956.html Imagine my surprise to see this story on Ireland’s main news channel: http://www.rte.ie/news/2014/0225/506597-siptu/ If my eyes do not deceive me, the very Trade Union which is at loggerheads with Aer Lingus and DAA over pensions, appears to be in the same position as the organisations with which it is in dispute. It isn’t April fools day or Friday 13th……………… I suppose there is the possibility that the media have got it wrong. On the other hand, it this latest story is correct, it is a sad day for the Trade Unions. 12th March 2014 at 21:59 #527843 PatJordanParticipant The planned strike at Dublin & Cork airports this weekend is deferred following a High Court injunction sought by DAA. http://www.rte.ie/news/2014/0312/601718-siptu-ruling/ Author Posts Viewing 3 posts - 1 through 3 (of 3 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
