    Surprised they don’t have electronic passport gates on Eurostar given the number of europeans on it.

    The electronic passport gates at Bristol are only open for a few hours each day. When I asked why, I was told that they require too much manpower to be kept open at anything other than the busiest times. I suppose we should be grateful that the Home Office is so incompetent: at least they’ll never be able to set up the kind of police state that they seem to dream of

    The epass gates at Lisbon are regularly broken or switched off. They have installed them at T3 and first time I saw them both they and the IRIS gates were borken. UKBA promised to get back to me in 20 days as to why this was. Not holding my breath though…
