Recently I posted a thread regarding Austrian Airlines acquiring a coupple of B787s from Bamboo Airways.

Now there are reports on social media that Bamboo Airways aircraft will be supplied to AbuDhabi-based Etihad.

It’s reported that Etihad will take delivery of six A321neos from June onwards.

They are expected to be deployed on regional routes, including India, out of AbuDhabi.

All six are configured two-class business and economy.

Interesting, Alex. On intra ME routes, I imagine they may sell as F/Y, to accommodate local needs.

Wish EY all the best with its new aircraft. Probably they will operate F/Y in GCC just like QR does.

EY have operated as J/Y for many years now. F is only on 3 class planes.
Not sure they ever did the F/Y Middle East norm of the past

I could be wrong but I understand that some of Etihad’s aircraft flying to the sub-Continent don’t have IFE in economy. That definitely makes them uncompetitive on connecting traffic from and to Europe.
