AMcWhirterParticipantToday Etihad operated its first A350-1000 flight.
So far Etihad has not complained about the paint finish !
The inaugural A350-100 flight was between AbuDhabi and Paris CDG.
Photos have appeared on French social media.
They show a three-class interior: business, Economy Space and economy class.
There are 44 Recaro business class seats configured 1-2-1.
There are 44 Economy Espace seats (surely this cabin will eventually become premium economy) and 282 in economy class.
Regular Economy is configured 3-3-3. It’s unclear what the configuration is for Economy Space.

GrahamCParticipantEconomy Space is also 3-3-3 with an extra 10cm of legroom.

AMcWhirterParticipant3-3-3 won’t be good for premium economy (unless the middle seat of three is unsold).

Heathrow lost out to Paris CDG.
As I noted above Etihad’s inaugural flight operated into Paris CDG. Heathrow is not expected to see this aircraft until later this year.
Etihad’s A350-1000 will be its flagship at the present time.
It is retiring its B777-300ERs and its small fleet of A380s remains grounded.

TominScotlandParticipantSounds more like KLM’s Economy Comfort rather than PE unless the service is upgraded.

Indeed. I understand that it’s only the extra legroom. It’s free for Etihad Guest Platinum members and 50% for Gold. Otherwise it can be purchased at booking all the way to check in.
