Made a HUGE error in assuming that all Emirates flights were first-rate. Definitely not true. Will ONLY fly EK in the future on the A-380, which is a great aircraft, even though Emirates onboard service is NOT up to the quality level of Singapore, Qatar, Etihad, Turkish, EVA, or numerous other carriers.

This was a 3rd world aircraft with extremely mediocre service. Business class still has 3 seats, so you can still get a middle seat on Emirates. Thought all 1st class airlines had given this up years ago. Absolutely the MOST narrow seat I have EVER had in business class on ANY airline. Horrible! And the entertainment system did not work for 8 hours. Perhaps the aircraft & the seat were just far too old?

Do not believe all the hype about Emirates. There are still some definite weaknesses with this company. Fly Singapore to Dubai on the B-777 & you will learn for yourself. Never again.
