Hi Guys,

I bought a BA economy ticket from London to Chicago and now a friend of mine has upgraded me using his miles. Will I still get economy miles for this flight even though I have been upgraded using miles?

I’m asking because when you redeem miles for a flight you don’t usually get miles for that flight, but since I already paid for the economy ticket…

You’ll get the miles for the original ticket purchased – i.e. economy!

Yes assuming the economy fare you paid is eligible for miles collection.
