Back in 2018 when China Eastern arrived at London Gatwick there were just three weekly flights to Shanghai PVG.

In 2023 there were still three weekly flights.

Currently China Eastern has a daily service to Shanghai PVG out of Gatwick.

Between June 18 and October 25 this will increase to double-daily.

    Flights are open for booking.

These extra flights supplement the ones at Heathrow.

Seems China Eastern is making quite the progress in Gatwick. From three flights every week during 2018 to twice daily this summer, they are growing significantly. If you have a travel plan for Shanghai or any other place they fly through, it might be wise to book these added flights. More choices are always welcome, particularly if they align with your time requirements. Thank you for providing this update!

There has been a considerable up-kick in international passenger numbers ex china in the past month or so.
It seems as though the Chinese have rediscovered their love of international travel as some reports are saying that numbers have doubled – all be it from what had become a low base.

I’m always a fan of more full service airlines serving or increasing at LGW as it means it’ll finally become a more a world class airport
