The boarding gate at manila NAIA T3 was altered about 45 minutes before timetabled departure which was a pain as it meant quite a long return walk with no travelators.

Boarding was fairly quick for the 171 passengers. Most were Filipino with a smattering of Chinese, Singaporeans and about six Westerners.

The all female cabin crew (average age 25) were friendly. At one stage I was asked by one ‘could I change a US$100 note’ as she didn’t realise that I was Australian. The noodles were in heavy demand with most of the food being good value.

A long wait in the queue to depart Manila meant we arrived Singapore Changi T2 about 45 minutes late. Baggage retrieval was efficient and not too slow.
