Cathay introducing a new comprehensive inflight magazine

    Its good to see a seeming interesting inflight magazine being introduced.
    I have normally found them an interesting read to a greater or lesser extent and have missed seeing them in the seat pocket.

    This one if the blurb is to be believed looks to be worth a read and perhaps Martyn will also find it an interesting read read on his June trip to Hong Kong.

    Below some of Cathays introduction blurb :

    Good to see an airline that sees the value of these magazines. I miss them and think they add to the service offering and provides an opportunity for an airline to promote its services and routes and reinforce its brand.

    Articles and advertisements in them have influenced my travel decisions over the years and I have even sourced business contacts from them.

    Furthermore the costs of the magazines are covered by advertising so it is not a “cost” to the airline. They might argue about weight but like the Business Traveller magazine having sustainability focuses pages so can an inflight magazine. And not everyone wants to look at a screen all the time.
