Cathay will up its services on the Hong Kong – Los Angeles route starting mid-December 2023, with its 13th weekly flight reinstated from December 15 using B777-300ER

I am not sure we need to know every extra cathay flight as there are lots of other airlines increasing their routes but we do not hear about each one.

Imagine if we heard about every BA change- it would be a less changes.

Yes a new route is very interesting but not an extra frequency.

Others may clearly differ.

I found it interesting – in that trans-pacific capacity has been lagging in its recovery, with quite an impact on fares (as elsewhere).
