I’m due to fly to Singapore with Qatar Airways at the end of January, I will fly into KL on the way out, although on the outbound journey will only be transiting through KL onto a Malaysian Airlines flight into Singapore.

Just checking what the VTL rules are for this? The Malaysian flight is a VYL flight but not sure what the process is given the previous Qatar flight.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

You’ll need to enter Singapore on a VTL flight.

Also looks like Qatar has been deferred until further notice as a VTL country which means you cannot have entered (or I believe transit) a country not on the list in the previous 14 days.

Not to say come end of Jan this will be viable – but as it stands that would be no – you cannot go this routing.
