Wizzair’s policy is one of “moving capacity around” as its former UK boss told LBC’s Nick Ferrari in 2020.

Readers will have seen how this airline regularly changes its route network both here and across mainland Europe.

    Refunds can also take time.

At last our CAA is taking action.

The letter from Londonstockexchange.com says “The regulator [CAA] has been in contact with Wizz Air for several months after complaints by passengers that their rights had not been met when flights were cancelled or delayed.”

They also have a reputation for not paying out on County Court judgements that have gone against them.

    Good. It’s about time, too.

“They also have a reputation for not paying out on County Court judgements that have gone against them. ”

A train operating company tried that with me and what started as a £83 judgment ended up well over £500.

If you get judgment, you need to be prepared to take enforcement action.

Yes…..or the government could give the CAA some teeth and the power to remove an airline’s UK operating licence if it fails to adhere to UK law. Refusing to pay out court judgements is frankly absurd. When the shoe is on the other foot, I’m assuming that Gee Wizz expect to be protected by the law?

Today our CAA issued a statement saying that £1.25 million has been paid to passengers after enforcement action was taken against this airline.

Good to see that some energy has been brought to bear.

At one stage I had 5 cases open with Aviation ADR and won them all.
