British Airways .. top service from a Manager ..

    I am a fan of BA, but this simple incident nearly added insult to injury.

    On checking my flight for Sunday September 15 I was offered an upgrade for €89 to Club Europe.

    The system took my details & then gave me an error message.

    I called BA, and the telephone assistant told me that these things happen. Limited availability etc .. I thought that is no way to run a business.

    I politely asked to speak to a Manager. I thought I’d have no luck. He went on to say that these things happen, and he would do his best to see if the offer was still available. I asked him why he would have more luck than his colleague, and he pointed out that he could over ride the system, if seats were available.

    He did a great job .. told me a seat two seats were available.

    He took my payment, confirmed the transaction went through, and without asking, he offered me an additional 2000 avios.

    Well done that Manager .. ! .. well done BA !

    I have had the same LGW – Faro upgrade gone then not helpful manager too.

    That manager has probably been fired for showing initiative a word that you don´t often find in the same sentence with the words “British Airways”
