I am posting this because Batik Air Indonesia commenced flying to Australia and I believe New Zealand a while ago and recently also to Hong Kong.

This airline group (Lion Air) have a very spotty safety record and personally I would not go near them.

Reportedly both pilots fell asleep for 30 minutes mid-flight while 153 passengers were onboard causing the aircraft to drift dangerously off of its flight path.

Reportedly officials have launched an investigation into the incident.

This airline (part of the Lion Air Group)has been rated the worst of the worst among the ten most dubious Nepal and Indonesian based airlines.

I find it amazing they have been given clearance to fly to Australia and NZ with their safety record.
