BA Upgrades

    Also, a cabin crew source has said all crew (including flightdeck) have received a mail from senior management saying that upgrades after boarding are now a ‘fraudulant act’.
    Pity the wives/friends/crew on hols etc!
    But will this also affect ad-hoc upgrades much discussed here before?

    I have to say, it’s probably a fair-minded decision from Waterside (for once!). Now, why should friends and family of the crew be upgradedd when fare-paying pax aren’t? Good to see BA clamping down on this sort of iniquitous behaviour from the crew.If friends and family of the crew want an upgrade they can pay for it like the rest of us.

    The clamp down is because the staff can buy upgrades but if a flight is not going to be full they do not on the basis that the operating crew (generally family) will move them after doors close. This allows them to avoid paying the extra and as such is fraudulent. I agree that for once BA are doing the right thing. They, like us can pay to upgrade.
