Iberia have, with almost no warning scrapped reward flight saver. While this may not have much impact directly on many the question is will BA follow. As pointed out on the above site, when Avios can be moved with ease between BA IB and Avios you would be mad to book via IB.

This must be of concern as BA will either follow suit or availability will deteriorate further……is that possible?

IB may be financially precarious but I can’t see how this will help them or BA and means I will continue to withhold converting hotel, credit card and shopping points to Avios exclusively. Thanks to Raffles and his excellent web site have discovered the many more options available for those points.

BA Reward flight saver will likely get a remodelling/relaunch with a few changes, but it’ll fundamentally stay the same.
