BA reveals S2011 long haul changes

    As per 09DEC10 GDS timetable display, latest adjustment to British Airways’ Summer 2011 long-haul operation as follows, including additional service to be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

    Further changes are expected, below mentioned routes, operational days and periods are only for reference:

    Boeing 777-300ER Routes
    London Heathrow – Chicago O’Hare BA297/296 27MAR11 – 01AUG11 Day 357 02AUG11 – 30OCT11 Day x1
    London Heathrow – New York JFK BA179/182 Daily
    London Heathrow – Tokyo Narita BA005/006 Daily

    Summer 2011 Changes:
    London Heathrow – Beijing Boeing 747-400 continues to operate Daily service in S11 (777 in S10)
    London Heathrow – Buenos Aires Daily NONSTOP 3-class Boeing 777-200ER operation, replace 1-stop via Sao Pauli (posted on the blog on 21SEP10)
    London Heathrow – Chicago O’Hare BA297/296 on Day 357 operates with Boeing 777-300ER (previously planned 3-class -200ER canceled)
    London Heathrow – Dallas Daily 747-400 maintained
    London Heathrow – Delhi 2 Daily 777-200ER operating 27MAR11 – 06MAY11 BA257/256 Day 57 operates with 3-class 777-200ER, No First Class service (Day 16 from DEL)
    London Heathrow – Houston Gradual aircraft change from 747-400 to 777-200ER: eff 27MAR11 BA195/194 eff 25MAY11 BA197/196 (reduction of roughly 80 seats per flight)
    London Heathrow – Las Vegas eff 01JUN11 Boeing 747-400 replace 777-200ER
    London Heathrow – Mauritius eff 08MAY11 3-class 777-200ER replace 4-class
    London Heathrow – Mumbai 2 Daily 777-200ER operating
    London Heathrow – New York JFK 7 Daily service maintained, including 6 Daily 747-400 and 1 Daily 777-300ER
    London Heathrow – San Diego eff 01JUN11 Service resumption with 3-class 777-200ER (posted on the blog on 07OCT10)
    London Heathrow – Sao Paulo Terminator service from 28MAR11, Daily 747-400 unchanged
    London Heathrow – Tokyo Narita 777-300ER replace -200ER (posted on the blog on 15OCT10)
    London Heathrow – Toronto Aircraft swap on operating flight
    BA093/092 767-300ER replace 777-200ER BA099/098 777-200ER replace 767-300ER

    London Heathrow – Vancouver Reduce from 13 to 12 weekly, BA087/086 (Summer Seasonal) operates 5 weekly in S11
    London Heathrow – Washington Dulles BA293/292 Planned 3-class 777-200ER operation on Day 3, CANCELED (operating 4-class)
    London Gatwick – Kingston 2 weekly service maintained in S11 (3 weekly in S10)
    London Gatwick – Montego Bay Operational Day 37 (Day 46 in S10)
    London Gatwick – Orlando Reduce from 9 weekly to Daily (posted on the blog on 23SEP10)
    London Gatwick – St. Lucia – Port of Spain Increase from 6 weekly to DAILY
    London Gatwick – Tampa Increase from 5 weekly to Daily (posted on the blog on 22SEP10)

    Following changes appeared on the blog on 22SEP10, which remains unchanged
    London Gatwick – Antigua Summer service Increase from 5 to 6 weekly, including 2 weekly extends to San Juan, a service resumption (Day 15)
    London Gatwick – Barbados Increase from 10 to 12 weekly, including 2 weekly extends to Tobago (Day 46), which previously operated via Antigua
    London Gatiwck – Cancun Increase from 2 to 3 weekly

    Note all services are expecting further changes. In particular, Trans-Atlantic joint-operation with American Airlines is still yet to be announced, in terms of schedule coordination.
