Having moved to the UK after 33 years Spain (& a very happy IBERIA Plus Platinum card holder) this summer, ‘logically’ needed to sign-up with BA as London would be my base in flying to & fro.
Not ‘logically’ was that BA informed me that -yes, BA & Iberia are a merged entity – but I needed to start from the “bottom”.
Strange but after contacting both companies – no, nothing to be done.
So in less than 3 months went to Silver BA and heading to Gold (nope – BA doesn’t have Platinum level) but…..what do I do now ?
I’m still a IBERIA Platinum card (at least 2 years more) but to whom should I book the points as of now ? BA or IBERIA ?
Pretty strange that a merged BA*IBERIA is not merging at least their most frequent flyer’s = the ones who usually fill the planes up front & in the back, a s a p.
Even more in these economic times…..
