    Just received by email:

    Dear continentalclub,

We are deeply sorry that your travel plans have been affected as a result of Unite’s strike action. We realise that this was not only an inconvenience, but that you have also lost the opportunity to earn valuable BA Miles and Tier Points.

As a gesture of goodwill and to ensure that your membership is unaffected, we would like to offer you the BA Miles and Tier Points you would have earned on your original flight, had you been able to fly with us as planned. This applies whether you re-booked onto another flight, were re-routed, or even if you cancelled your flight. If you re-booked with British Airways you will also earn BA Miles and Tier Points on your re-booked flights (in accordance with Executive Club terms and conditions).

Your BA Miles and Tier Points will be awarded within 28 days of the planned departure of your flight. If they have not appeared automatically at the end of this period please do not hesitate to contact your local service centre where our staff will be happy to help get these added for you.

We would like to thank you for your loyalty to British Airways. We hope you will support us at this current difficult time and that we can look forward to relying on your business again in the future.

    Warm regards,

    The Executive Club team

So, technically, two lots of miles and TPs if you were re-booked onto other BA/OW flights as a result of the action.

I’m sure that this will be warmly-received by many who were genuinely affected – lots of whom I know were already mightily impressed by the unprecedented ability of the company to re-book them onto other flights, carriers or travel dates.

There is a very handy FAQ for those whose flights were cancelled at:
