AirAsiaX announces huge order for A330neos

    Just announced at Farnborough. But deliveries will not start before end 2019.

    The order for a total of 100 (one hundred) A330neos must surely mean AirAsiaX will be returning to Europe in which case it will be competing against low-cost rivals Scoot and Norwegian (as well as the conventional carriers).

    I ought to point out that today’s order is for an additional 34 aircraft. The airline’s total order stands at 100.
