How absurd would it be to increase APD without consulting other European countries. This would be a straight encouragement for passengers to purchase tickets abroad!

The unpalatable truth is the money borrowed for Covid is going to have to be paid back somehow. No one wants tax rises but aside from borrowing even more there are not that many options. I read that a Frequent Flyer levy is being discussed as part of the Climate debate
