I have been flying ANA & JAL from Asia across the Pacific to USA for years but stopped flying this route about 3-4 years ago.

I’m looking to book to fly again later this year, but I’m a bit confused.
JAL is ok but ANA says “flight and crew operated by Air Japan(sic)”. Can anyone explain this? I know ANA merged with another company called Air Japan (not JAL) a few years ago but if I book will the plane livery and the crew (uniforms etc) be ANA as before ?

Is Air Japan the parent company that now owns the ANA brand?
I’m just hoping Air Japan (sic) doesn’t mean a low service subsidiary as one of the joys of ANA in the past was their wonderful crew and service.

    ANA Holdings is the parent.
There are some 70 subsidiary companies including Peach Aviation which is a joint venture with a HK company.
At one time ANA was called Far East Airlines

Air Japan is not a LCC. They still operate the same as ANA: same meals, seating, uniform, etc. I flew them from HND-CKG (having originated from LAX on ANA proper). Now if it said Peach, then it’s LCC territory.
